Depending on your implementation, the time it takes to commit your
document image data can vary. The document commit process can take
longer if your system is directly integrated with an EDMS or if you are
generating searchable PDF files (searchable PDF option sold separately).
If this commit process is occurring on a client workstation, the
indexing operators must wait until the process has completed.
Control Network and System Performance
Captovation Commit Server allows you to schedule when you want the document commit process to take place, which can help your organization control network traffic and improve system performance. Take advantage of the built-in scheduling capabilities of Commit Server to control when document are archived into your EDMS (i.e., every 1 to 60 minutes, or at the end of the business day). In addition, you can implement varying schedules depending on the batch type.
Centralised Administration
Captovation Commit Server is a dedicated server application that
runs unattended providing a central administration point into your EDMS.
If your EDMS is off-line due to maintenance or a system problem, your
document capture client workstations are unaffected.
The Captovation Commit Server can be easily added to any
Captovation Capture installation. Implementation is as easy as
1-2-3:
Once you have completed these 3 simple steps, the next time a user
commits a batch, it will be queued to the Commit Server for
processing.
